Dermal/Lip Fillers
What Are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable gel-like substances used to treat a wide range of cosmetic issues in the face and hands, including diminished volume, fine lines, wrinkles, and scars. Several different companies make fillers, and each has its own unique formulations, which are useful for treating distinct problems in separate areas of the face.
By filling in certain areas of the face, we can contour and create the visage you’ve always dreamed of. Over time, dermal fillers are slowly absorbed by the body and most last anywhere from 12 to 24 months before necessitating a touch-up.
Dermal fillers and botox are both minimally invasive, injectable cosmetic treatments. Both are performed as outpatient procedures in the comfort of your doctor’s office and require minimal downtime. While both can improve the overall appearance of the face, they achieve this in different ways.
Botox is primarily used to treat fine lines and wrinkles. It is a purified form of the botulinum toxin, but is a safe, FDA approved treatment that has been used for several decades now.
Botox works by blocking nerve signals to the muscles that cause fine lines around the eyes, forehead, and mouth, also known as expression lines. By blocking the nerve signals, muscles in the injection site become temporarily paralyzed, thus softening or eliminating wrinkles from the area. These results can last up to three months, and the treatment takes about five minutes to complete.
Dermal fillers, on the other hand, are primarily used to rejuvenate the skin and add volume and fullness to various areas of the face. Different brands and types of fillers are made of varying ingredients, including:
- Hyaluronic acid, such as JUVÉDERM®, Restylane®, and Belotero®
- Calcium hydroxylapatite, such as RADIESSE®
- Poly-L-lactic acid, such as Sculptra®
- Polymethyl-methacrylate microspheres (PMMA), such as Bellafill®
Each of these fillers is designed to treat certain kinds of aging or other cosmetic issues. Depending on which one is used, they can last anywhere from 12 to 24 months. On average, treatment takes approximately 45-60 minutes.
RF Microneedling
Secret RF treatment takes microneedling to a whole new level! Secret RF is a treatment that uses radio frequency energy through tiny micro-needles to deliver energy and help rebuild collagen where it’s needed most, under the skin surface. It is an ideal treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, and sun damage with little downtime. This unique delivery of energy allows us to achieve optimal results on ALL skin types.
How long is a secret RF Appointment?
Treatment times generally range between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the area you are treating.
Will it hurt?
Our medical providers do everything possible to minimize discomfort. You will be prescribed a topical anesthetic to apply to the treatment area which will significantly reduce any pain you may experience, making the treatment quite comfortable. During the treatment, you will feel slight heating and some pressure on the treatment area.
Is it safe?
Yes. If you are seen by an experienced professional who performs the treatment in a safe, precise manner with the use of a single-use sterile needle head, Secret RF treatment is very safe. This is, of course, the experience you will have at Timeless.
What should I expect from Secret RF?
An anesthetic will be prescribed and you will pick it up at your local pharmacy. About an hour prior to your Secret RF treatment, you will apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment area.
During the Secret RF treatment you will feel some pressure on the treatment area. The micro-needling treatment is tolerable for most patients and our medical provider will work with you to maximize your comfort level.
Using the radio frequency equipped medical device, fitted with a sterile, disposable tip and a cluster of needles, your provider will treat the skin.
Following Secret RF treatment, the skin will be flushed in appearance. You may also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity to touch on the treated area. Any minor redness, or swelling from the treatment will subside within 12-24 hours. After treatment you can expect to return to normal activities.
When will I start seeing results?
Patients typically need a series of 3-4 Secret RF treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart to achieve optimal results. Most patients report seeing improvement after the second treatment but optimal results appear 3 months after the last treatment. As with all Timeless treatments, our medical providers will evaluate your current skin condition to recommend the best treatment plan for you.
Body Contouring
What is non-surgical body contouring? This treatment option uses radio frequency (RF) to damage and kill fat cells in a non-invasive way. Thread Lift
Novathreads are a patented, revolutionary treatment that can target sagging skin to give you a more lifted facial look. They are hypodermic needles preloaded with a PDO absorbable suture that go slightly under the skin to lift it up and produce new collagen.
The procedure is preferred among many patients because it produces natural results, doesn’t involve any surgery or pain, is considered a quick lunchtime procedure, and is ultra-effective on the face, neck, and jawline.
What Are Novathreads Made of?
The Novathread procedure is actually quite a simple one. First, the area will be numbed with local anesthetic so you won’t feel any pain. Then, the threads are inserted under the skin, and depending on the specific technique you and your doctor choose, the procedure will vary slightly.
The first technique name, known as NuLift, uses barbed threads to reposition the skin. The threads lift the skin up and cause the selective inflammatory response that establishes more firmness in the affected area.
The other technique is known as NuMesh, which creates mesh scaffolding under the skin. The PDO sutures are placed vertically and horizontally on each side of the face, and they boost collagen production and skin firmness.
Regardless of which technique is used, no cuts or incisions are necessary. The needles are preloaded with a PDO thread that is simply and smoothly inserted into the face. The needle is then pulled out, with the thread remaining in the skin.
Where Can They Be Placed?
Although Novathreads can be inserted almost anywhere, one area where they are especially effective is the neck and jawline. The lower third of the face is challenging to treat effectively with botulinum toxin or injectable fillers, which are most effective in the upper and middle third of the face, respectively. That’s why Novathreads are a great alternative option.
Chemical Peels
A chemical peel is a technique used to improve and smooth the texture of your skin. The peel gently removes the outermost layer of the skin, leaving you with completely fresh, untouched skin. Results include even-toned, smooth, tightened, and refreshed skin.
Chemical peels can be used to treat acne scars, uneven pigmentation, rough skin, wrinkles, fine lines, and sun spots/damage.
How does it work?
Chemical peels are a safe and effective treatment to remove the outermost layers of skin in order to expose new, untouched skin. Your dermatologist will create a chemical mixture specifically tailored to your face and skin type to ensure the best results.
While patients can return to normal activities immediately after treatment, the skin is sensitive and should be makeup free and protected from the sun for at least 2-4 days. Most patients begin to experience peeling after 48 hours, which resolves itself in 2-5 days.
Dysport®️
Dysport® is an FDA-approved purified neurotoxin prescription injection that is primarily used to treat moderate to severe frown lines. To effectively minimize the appearance of frown lines between your eyebrows, Dysport’s purified Botulinum Toxin properties weaken the muscles in your glabellar area. Dysport® is incredibly effective which is why it is frequently used to enhance other parts of the face.
Dysport® lasts anywhere from three to four months and usually takes up to seven days to take effect. The lifespan and effectiveness of Dysport® primarily depends on your physiological makeup, which is why we recommend consulting your doctor at Cloud 17 Med Spa before beginning treatment. Some common side effects of Dysport® include headache, swelling, injection site pain, or nausea.

Xeomin™️

An alternative to Botox and Dysport, Xeomin™ is injected into your face muscles to soften frown lines and improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between your eyebrows, also known as glabellar lines.
The cosmetic effects of Xeomin™ last for a short period of time and block the release of the chemicals that cause your muscles to contract, which over time, result in frown lines. Xeomin™ lasts anywhere from three to four months and can take anywhere from 24 hours to ten days to take effect. Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a treatment widely used to effectively eliminate varicose and spider veins. During this procedure, a sclerotherapy solution will be injected directly into the unwanted vein which irritates the lining of the blood vessel and causes it to collapse, clot, and eventually be reabsorbed by the surrounding tissue. This process forces the body to redirect blood to healthier, more capable veins, causing the unwanted veins to fade away. The sclerotherapy procedure is performed with a fine needle and small amounts of sclerosing solution.
What are the side effects of sclerotherapy?
The most common side effects to sclerotherapy include allergic reactions, ankle swelling, vein inflammation or phlebitis, and in rare cases, transient hyperpigmentation. More often than not, the injected veins will become darker before disappearing due to the irritant nature of the sclerosing solution.

Hair Restoration with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

Treatment
Here at Cloud 17 Med Spa we use platelet-rich plasma therapy to help with hair restoration. Platelet-rich plasma therapy is a 100% natural way to harness your body’s own regenerative powers. In just 20 minutes, this treatment can help treat thinning hair and can help restore your confidence.
How does it work?
- Your blood is drawn normally, just as it would be done in your PCP’s office.
- The blood is then purified in a centrifuge to extract the plasma.
- The platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is then injected into the areas in need of treatment using microneedles for maximum patient comfort and precision, stimulating your natural regenerative process.
Since the PRP is full of growth proteins, the injection will promote the growth of new, healthy hair. We use needles that are finer in diameter than a human hair, for maximum patient comfort.
Mild improvement will be noticeable within the first few weeks, but maximum results may not occur until the 4-6 month mark. Most patients will require several treatments to achieve their desired results.

Dermaplaning
At Cloud 17 Med Spa we offer dermaplaning as a skincare treatment that helps to exfoliate your skin and regenerate new skin cells. This procedure helps to accelerate skin cell turnover allowing you to leave our office with glowing, radiant, soft, and youthful skin.
Our technicians will prepare and cleanse your skin before using a medical-grade scalpel to gently exfoliate the outermost layers of your skin. This includes removing dead skin cells and fine facial hair commonly called “peach fuzz”. A finishing solution will be applied to help cleanse your pores after treatment and protect your skin from irritation and redness.
This treatment is safe and effective for all skin types and provides an alternative treatment option to chemical peels or microdermabrasion. It can also be combined with other forms of treatment to allow products or treatments to penetrate deeper into the skin more evenly.
